Professional Profile
I’m a communications professional specializing in content strategy, impact storytelling, and creative writing. I bring a versatile skill set in digital marketing, social media management, and graphic design.
Over the years, I’ve worked with both local and international organizations to plan, create, and organize content for diverse audiences and purposes, helping them tell stories that inspire action and drive meaningful impact.
From 2021 to date, I’ve developed over 50 success stories, including 21 published on organizational websites.
My favorite types of content include blog posts, thought leadership pieces, case studies, website copy, and social media content. I especially enjoy crafting content that aligns with a brand’s tone while informing and engaging its community.
Writing Journey
My love for writing and storytelling began in grade five, when I wrote an English composition titled “My Life as a Coin.” My teacher was so impressed that she called it a winning piece, with no spelling mistakes! At home, I read voraciously—sometimes picking up my brothers’ engineering and accounting books or my sister’s literature books. (She was a literature teacher.)
At the University of Nairobi, choosing Communication Studies for my undergraduate degree felt like a natural path. I particularly enjoyed courses like Communication and Development, Organizational Communication, and Editing. Later, I pursued a Master’s in Communication Studies, where I gravitated towards audience studies and advanced writing and editing. These courses deepened my understanding of messaging and sharpened my editorial eye.
Personal Growth & Community
Along the way, I picked up two essential skills—graphic design and photography—which I continue to sharpen with every new opportunity.
I’m also a proud member of the Writers Guild Kenya, where we strengthen our writing muscles daily through prompts, shared learning, and a vibrant creative community.
